Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Spotaway is a game for iPhone made by Serhii Zharkov, an independent developer ("we"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why. In short: the game itself collects nothing that identifies you; its optional ads come from Google AdMob, which collects some device and usage data to show and measure them.
What stays on your iPhone
Your progress (the pictures you've finished and their ratings), your coins and hints, and your settings are saved only on your iPhone. They are not sent to us. There are no accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Spotaway shows ads only when you choose to watch one (for coins, hints or hearts). The ads are served by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- device identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow it in Apple's "Allow tracking" prompt, and identifiers limited to this app otherwise;
- your IP address, used to estimate your general location (country or city, not your exact location);
- information about the ads you see and tap, and how the app is used around them;
- diagnostic and performance data such as crash logs and launch times.
Where the law asks for it, the game first shows Google's consent form so you can choose whether ads may be personalized. Then iOS asks whether the app may track you; if you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are not personalized using your advertising identifier. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Ads in Spotaway are limited to content suitable for all ages.
Google handles this data under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details; the game only receives Apple's confirmation of what you bought so it can unlock it on your iPhone.
Crash reports
If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You control this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Analytics
This version of the game sends no gameplay analytics of its own. If a future version adds anonymous statistics (for example, which pictures are hardest), we'll update this policy before that version is released.
Children
Spotaway is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the LGPD in Brazil or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to its use. We don't hold personal information about you ourselves; for data collected by Google for ads, see Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com, and you can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings at any time. You can also write to us with any request.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, mention it in the app's update notes.
